Playconnect Playgroups

The Federal Government has provided funding for playgroups to support families with children with autism or developmental/social/communication issues. The PlayConnect program offers facilitated playgroups for these families free of charge for up to two years.

PlayConnect offers families the opportunity to:

  • Gain support from other parents
  • Provide rewarding play experiences for their child
  • Learn about the importance of developmentally appropriate play for all children
  • Support other parents
  • Be part of their wider community
  • Develop their leadership and organisational skills
  • Get new ideas and inspiration about play-based learning
One PlayConnect group is already up and running in the Gungahlin region (and is happy to welcome new families/interest), but we are keen to see if there is a need for more of these groups to be funded in other locations across Canberra.

This is a demand driven program, so If you want to be a part of the PlayConnect program, please let us know if you have families/clients that you think could benefit from this type of service and where future groups should be located.
